Using Manx home grown pork, Wafer thin ham refers to thinly sliced ham that has been sliced to a very thin, delicate thickness. The term “wafer thin” describes the thinness and delicacy of the slices, which are often paper-thin and translucent. Wafer thin ham is typically made from cured or cooked ham, such as leg ham or shoulder ham. The ham is sliced thinly using specialized slicing machines or techniques, resulting in slices that are thin enough to be almost translucent. This thinness allows the ham to be easily folded or layered, making it ideal for use in sandwiches, wraps, or as a topping for salads. The delicate texture of wafer thin ham also means that it can be easily torn or shredded, making it versatile for various culinary applications.
